Arguably the best $1 purchase ever made!

We were lucky to acquire The Queen from Rebel Morrow as a 4yo. Rebel’s mother Vicky had purchased The Queen for $1 from the guy down the road. Alledgedly she was bred for team penning, and grew too big, which gave Vicky the oppourtunity for this bargain.

It was Phil that fell in love with her and purchased her as a ride for himself. Phil learnt the lesson to never let your wife ride your horse, as she was quickly stolen by Sophia. As Ice Queen (Telly) developed into a serious higher level competition mare, Rebel took back the reins and successfully campaigned her at 3* eventing. Unfortunately an injury sustained just prior to her 4* debut meant that she never quite reached the very top of eventing, but none-the-less we had faith in her and Rebel to do so.

Returning from injury she showed the ropes of the higher grades to Sophia who successfully competed her at 3* eventing and 1.30 m showjumping, before retiring to loving life as a broodmare. One horse serviced three riders and enabled us as a team to reach goals and create plenty of good memories.

Understood to be a TB x ASH, we don’t know her pedigree, but it doesn’t really matter!
